Where does your business show up in AI answers? Now you'll know.
Every month we ask the same set of real customer questions in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google's AI Overviews, then record whether your business gets named. Baseline first, plain English, and flat months published too. Included in every plan.
AI visibility monitoring is the monthly practice of asking a fixed set of real customer questions across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google's AI Overviews, then recording whether your business gets named or cited. Naples SEO includes it in every plan: a day-one baseline, a plain-English monthly report, and honest numbers even in the flat months.
You cannot manage what you do not measure
Classic Google search comes with a free scoreboard. Search Console shows you the queries, the impressions, the clicks. AI search comes with nothing. There is no Search Console for ChatGPT. Perplexity does not offer a dashboard for business owners. Gemini will not send you a note when it recommends the plumber down the street instead of you.
That gap matters because AI answers are already steering buying decisions in Naples and across Southwest Florida. A homeowner asks ChatGPT who should repair a seawall. A parent asks Gemini for a pediatric dentist. If the answer skips you, no analytics tool records the loss. The recommendation happened inside the chat, the customer called someone else, and you never knew the conversation took place.
Your website analytics will catch some visits referred from AI tools, but plenty of AI activity never touches your site at all. The answer gets delivered in the conversation and the buyer acts on it right there. The only reliable way to know where you stand is to ask the engines the same questions your customers ask, on a schedule, and write down what comes back. That is this service.
What we track every month
We build a fixed set of queries around your services and your service area: the questions a real customer would actually type or say. For a Marco Island tour operator, something like "best shelling tour near Marco Island." For a Naples roofer, "who should I call about a tile roof leak in Naples." The set stays consistent month to month so the comparison stays honest.
Then we ask those questions across four surfaces and record the results:
- ChatGPT, including ChatGPT search, which as of mid-2026 leans on Bing's index for retrieval.
- Perplexity, which retrieves live pages and shows numbered source citations.
- Gemini, which grounds its answers through Google Search.
- Google AI Overviews, which draw from Google's normal search index.
For each query on each engine we log whether you were mentioned, whether your site was cited as a source, who else got named, and what the answer actually said about you. AI answers vary from run to run, which is exactly why a one-off spot check can mislead you and a consistent monthly method will not.
AI mentions never stand alone in our reports. They sit next to the numbers that pay your bills: local rankings, Google Business Profile actions like calls and direction requests, and the calls and form fills coming through your site. If AI visibility climbs while the phone stays quiet, you will see both lines and we will say so.

How we report: baseline first, flat months included
Every engagement starts with a recorded baseline. Before we change a word on your site, we document where you rank, where the Map Pack shows you, which AI engines mention you, and how many calls and forms you are getting. Without that starting line, any "results" number an agency shows you later is theater.
From there, you get a plain-English report every month. Not a forty-page PDF of charts you will never open. It reads in a few minutes and answers three questions: where do you show up now, what changed since last month, and what are we doing about it.
Two commitments set our reporting apart:
- Flat months get published too. We set a 90-day ramp expectation with every client, and early months in AI engines are often quiet. When a month shows no movement, the report says "no movement" in plain words. You will never get a quiet month dressed up with vanity metrics.
- We report to you the same way we report in public. Our case studies run on the identical rule: baseline first, real numbers as they land, nothing invented. Our first client's study went up on day one with the recorded starting point, not after a good quarter was in hand. You can read it at SWFL Media Blasters.
One thing we will not do is hand you a tidy count of "customers from AI." Attribution from AI engines is partial at best. Some visits show up in analytics, many recommendations never touch your site, and anyone selling you an exact AI revenue figure is guessing. We report what we can verify and label the rest as what it is.
Deliverables and cadence
Here is what the service includes:
- Day-one baseline. Rankings, Map Pack visibility, AI mentions and citations across all four engines, Google Business Profile actions, and current call and form volume, recorded before any work begins.
- Monthly AI visibility report. The fixed query set asked across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and AI Overviews, with mentions, citations and named competitors logged per query and compared against last month.
- The classic scoreboard in the same report. Local rankings, GBP actions, calls and forms, so AI visibility is always read in context.
- A short "what we did and what is next" note. The work performed that month and the plan for the next one, in plain words.
Cadence is simple: baseline at kickoff, then a report every month. Same queries, same method, so month over month is apples to apples. We adjust the query set only when your services or service area change, and when we do, the report says so.
Prefer to track it yourself?
You can. Our guide to tracking your AI visibility walks through choosing queries, asking them consistently, and logging mentions and citations in a simple spreadsheet. It is the same method we use, minus the hours every month. If you would rather spend those hours running your business, that is what this service is for.
Plan fit and what it costs
AI visibility monitoring is not an add-on and not a top-tier perk. It is included in every Naples SEO plan, alongside the AI search optimization work itself. Plans start at $750 per month, pricing is published and month to month, and the full breakdown lives on our pricing page.
It fits the businesses we work with every day: plumbers, roofers, dentists, marine contractors, med spas, and other Southwest Florida service companies whose customers are starting to ask AI tools who to call. We have built and ranked 100+ local business sites, we are rated 5.0 on Google, and we would rather show you a slow honest month than a fast fictional one.
